Obituary of Marjorie Marsh, New Waterford
Marjorie Marsh passed away on August 5, 2020 with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side. It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce her passing.
Born on January 3, 1935 to parents Charles and Ada MacKinnon (Strickland) , Marjorie was survived by her daughter, Beverly; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Deborah; sisters, Jenny, Charlotte, Dorthy (Dot), Olive and brothers, Bob, Bill along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter, Deborah Lynn; parents; sister, Ann; brothers, John, Wayne and nephew, Bernie.
Marjorie was a proud Cape Bretoner who generously spread love to so many. She married her true love and soulmate John Marsh and together they raised two beautiful daughters Beverly and Deborah Lynn. Marjorie was a dedicated and loving wife and mother first and foremost.
She treasured her daughters and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being a grandmother. She had a vivacious and kind personality that made everyone around her laugh and feel loved. Marjorie was a dedicated member of her Church and her angelic voice could often be heard as part of the church choir. She was very loyal in showing her love and appreciation to Christ and her Diocese. Marjorie was a hard worker and a remarkable gardener.
She spent most of her life in New Waterford and in 2013 she moved to Calgary to be closer to her daughter, Beverly and granddaughter, Kaitlyn. Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband, John and Daughter, Deborah Lynn at a later date. Her family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Care Centre for all the love and care they devoted to Marjorie. Heartfelt thanks also goes to our close friend, Ben (Kaitlyn's Father) for the kindness he extended to family and for loving her so dearly through the years.
She is greatly missed by her loved ones but can still be felt on earth as she is reunited with her daughter and loving husband in heaven rejoicing as angels in the arms of the lord. We love and miss you more each day and one day we’ll see your smile again.
Cremation has taken place in Calgary, AB. A graveside service will be held in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, at a later date. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to V.J.
