It is with broken hearts and sadness our family announce the sudden passing of Dean Ferguson, 46 in Lacombe, Alberta, August 16, 2020 formerly of Scotchtown, NS. Dean was a loving son, brother, father and grandpa. Born on March 30,1974 in New Waterford, NS, he spent the past 25 years living in Alberta. Working as a scaffolder and journeyman pipefitter, he made many lifelong friends. At an early age he learned mechanical work while watching over his grandfather, Biff, at the family garage, which led to him building his cherished 68 Chevy Nova. Many memories were made with kids and grandsons as the motor roared while driving on the streets of Lacombe. His love of family will never be surpassed, with their many camping and fishing trips. He loved the outdoors , getting a Christmas tree in the mountains surrounded by family complete with bonfire and marsh mellows. He loved playing video games and going to car shows with his children where many hours were spent. The Habs lost their greatest fan, even when they were losing sitting with his jersey on he was still cheering. He will always be remembered for his hilarious and mischievous ways, his beautiful heart and soul. He is survived by his parents, Beverly (Derrick) Devoe, Brian (Donna) Ferguson; his cherished children, Haley (Dustin), Michael, Mitchell, Dryden, Bailey, and their mom, April. Proud grandpa to Dominic and Damon; siblings who will fondly hold his memory's close, his loving sister, whom he never missed a day talking to, Tracy (Tony), Amanda (Andrew), Brandon (Colleen), Aaron; his special aunt, Janette; uncles, Gary, Glenn and Eddy his aunt Sandy and the rest of his family. His partner in crime Tommy Brushett. He is predeceased by grandparents, Ruth and Diz Ferguson, Christina and Biff Gouthro; uncle, Jim and cousin, Michael in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Lacombe, AB and a private gathering at his family home in Scotchtown. A limb has fallen from our family tree that says Grieve not for me, remember the best times, the laughter, the fun, the special place where memories come from.
