Obituary of Ruth (Aucoin) Clark, Glace Bay

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Clark, age 76 on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late James and Verna (Morrison) Aucoin. In her younger years, Ruth worked at the Wella Balsam Shampoo Factory in Toronto. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, strumming her guitar and playing video games on her computer. Ruth truly enjoyed being around her friends and she was also an animal lover. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Clark and her son, Rob, three sisters, Joan, Carol and Beverly, one brother, David and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by a daughter at birth, Sherry Lee and a brother, Bobby. There will be no services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Memorial donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. A special thank you to her sister in law and friend, Joanne Aucoin for her time and patience spend with Ruth and also to her friend Sib White for always being there for her.
