Obituary of Pat Hall, Glace Bay

Patrick “Pat” Daniel Hall Glace Bay Pat Hall, age 83 passed away on Friday, October 2nd, 2020 in Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, Pat was the son of the late Patrick “Paddy” and Ellen (Coady) Hall. Pat joined the Canadian Navy at a young age and was employed there for several years before leaving and starting a new job with Canadian National Railway in Toronto, Ontario. After many years, Pat left Ontario and returned home to Glace Bay to pursue a career in the fishing industry. Pat loved fishing and one day caught a 1000 pound tuna off the coast of Glace Bay. He enjoyed playing cards, socializing with his friends up town, listening to music, going grocery shopping and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his partner, Loretta Robinson, two daughters, Patsy Bond (Gary), Deborah Routledge (Clarence), both in Glace Bay, two sons, Dennis Hall, Toronto, Glenn Hall (Jacqueline), Winnipeg, one sister, Margie Morrison (Daniel-deceased), Glace Bay and one brother, William “Buddy” Hall (Teresa) of New Victoria. Pat is survived by his grandchildren, Eric Bond (Angela), Megan Boland (Mark), Patrick, Miranda & Kailyn Hall, Marissa McNeil (Tyler), Devon McIsaac (Ian), great grandchildren, Peyton , Scottie, Blossom, Lyra and Alexis. Besides his parents, Pat was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Hall (nee LeBlanc) and his sister, Jeannie Michalik. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service for Pat will be held on Thursday, October 8th at 3 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding. Masks are required.
