Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Sehl

Dorothy Elizabeth (Edwards) Sehl Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Dorothy Elizabeth Sehl, age 70 on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Glace Bay Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in North Sydney on November 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Fan (Brown) and John Edwards. She grew up in Harbour le Cou, Newfoundland. Dorothy sold Avon for many years. She was employed at Goldman’s and later at H. Hopkins as a book keeper; she also took great pride in the many years she spent lobster fishing with her husband Clarence. Dorothy also enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Big Pond. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clarence; children, Tyler (Rose), Glace Bay, Michelle (Daniel), Westmount, Alvin (Holly), Coxheath ; grandchildren ,Brandon, Caitlin, Keagan, Julie Anne, Abigail, Lorelai, Estelle and Eleanor; brother, John (Mary)Edwards ; nieces, Jeanine and Jessica. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, from 10 a.m until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating.
