My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Joan. I’m just finding this obituary now. She was a client of mine while she was working at CBC , through retirement and up until a few years ago when it became harder for us to arrange appointments. We spent many hours together over the years. I remember lots of laughter. She always had a great story to tell and loved to curse. She loved my dog Buddy and always spoiled him with lots of love and treats I miss Joan She was one of best humans I’ve ever met. Rest In Peace friend X

Joan was always “the keeper of the keys” for our family. Our Mom (Kay Hannigan) lived next door to Joan for years and Joan would often pop in to say hi. She also often brought in the mail but most importantly, our family knew we could always call her to check on our Mother next door. I worked with Joan many years ago. She was a hard-working, good person with a heart of gold who always made time to chat whenever I met her. As her health declined I missed our conversations, but Florence and Russell kindly kept me up to date. My sincere condolences to Joan's family and friends.
