Bonnie, James and families,
My condolences on your Mom's passing; she was a wonderful person.
It was so nice for our family to have the opportunity to reconnect with your Mom while she and Mom and Dad were living at the Shannex. Mom was especially happy to visit with Kay there but we all enjoyed our chats with your Mom. May she rest in peace.

I have so many treasured memories of Mrs. Dickson, too many to mention here, but this is one I’ll share...Mrs. Dickson was my grade 2 teacher, she was wonderful. In 1973, I was in grade 3, and we had a house fire and were living in a motel in Sydney for 5 weeks...My mother brought me to school the day after the fire and Mrs. Dickson so kindly offered to take me to her house for lunch every day while my parents were working on getting the house fixed....I will never forget my lunches with Mrs. Dickson, corn chowder was my favourite. I still remember curling up in the chair in the living room...Fast forward many years and I was again at the house to babysit on New Years Eve for Bonnie and her husband...My heartfelt and deepest sympathies to you all...Sharon Burlock

One of my very favourite teachers, Kaye was an educator in every sense of the word. She encouraged her students to never stop learning and always had time for a chat whenever I met her. I have missed her these past years after she moved to Halifax. My sincere condolences to Bonnie and James and their families on the loss of a wonderful, inspiring woman.

My memories of beautiful Auntie Kay go back to summers in Cape Dauphin as a little girl. She was always so kind and gentle amd treated my like one of her own nieces, I’m not sure when I realized we were not related. Over the years, whether at Donald and Theresa’s house, family parties at the cabin, her birthday at the hall in BrasD’or visiting her in Florida, she was always the same loving lady, quick with a hug and smile. She will be missed and lovingly remembered. Hugs and prayers Bonnie, James and all the family.
