Obituary of Daniel George MacKinnon, New Waterford

With profound sadness and broken hearts we sadly announce the passing of Daniel George MacKinnon on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. George was born in New Waterford on November 18, 1967 to Theresa (Burke) MacKinnon and the late Francis Joseph MacKinnon. George was a Glass Glazer by trade having worked for 14 years installing windows in numerous buildings and structures in the Kitchener/Waterloo areas. He was quite the handyman and he literally could fix anything. George returned to New Waterford in 2006 where he resided until his untimely passing. George is survived by his mother, Theresa (Burke) MacKinnon; son, Bryan James Hill; brothers, Joey and Robert; sisters, Mary Theresa and Sharon; nieces Joelle, Alicia, Kelsey, Caitlin; nephews, Corey, Tyler, Nicholas, Jeffrey and Logan; great-nieces, Sophia, Willow and Lainey; great-nephews, Gage, Zacchary, Zayne and John Robert. George is predeceased by his grandparents, father, and sisters, Ann Marie and Mary Arlene. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private funeral service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, New Waterford, with Father Peter MacLeod officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Addiction Services - Nova Scotia or a charity of one's choice.
