Obituary of Leonardine "Lee" Rose Baggs, Reserve Mines

BAGGS, Leonardine “Lee” Rose Reserve Mines It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonardine “Lee” Rose Baggs, age 82 on January 1, 2021 at her residence in Reserve Mines. Born in Glace Bay to the late Richard and Angeline (Caty) Rohrbach. Leonardine “Lee” loved to play bingo and a game of cards. She loved to socialize and enjoyed spending time with her family. The family is so grateful to everyone at her complex that helped her out over the last few months, especially Marie Roach. “Lee" loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a long time member of St. Joseph's church in Reserve Mines. She will certainly be remembered and missed. Left to mourn Leonardine’s loss and cherish her memories are her son, Terrance “Terry” Baggs, brothers, Richard, William and Freddie as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She loved her time with her two nieces, Georgina Hatcher (Dave) and Diane McKay (Doug). Her niece Amanda (Pat) helped her with her various required appointments. Beside her parents, Lee was predeceased by Terry's father, Daniel Joseph Gallant (Dodi) and brothers, Henry, Joseph, Alfred, Herman and her sister, Georgette (Young). Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, January 8, 2021 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Reserve Mines with Fr. Dan Boudreau presiding. Covid restrictions in place.
