Hello. My deepest condolences and sympathy goes out to you and your family and all of Belle's family members. I worked with Belle at Pearson airport back in 1987 for 2 and a half years. I had always kept in touch with Isabelle Belle. When my neice Caitlyn was just a little wee girl I remembered that Isabelle wanted to push Caitlyn in the stroller while I was waiting for her brother to get off the school bus. Caitlyn will be 27 Feb 23rd and to bad Belle didn't get to see Caitlyn again while she is growing up. My late finance partner Gary and I went to Nova Scotia back in summer of 2009 and that's when I and Gary met Belle's husband Joe and her sisters, such a real nice family. That's when I found out Belle had that terrible Parksison disease.I always had kept in touch with with Belle, the last time I talked to Belle was early in 2016 I think that was when Joe was going to turn 99 I think. She was a wonderful person and i always knew when her birthday was. I had sent Belle a couple of leters but never heard that she had gotten them so I had to go on Facebook to a family member of hers and he replied back to me after I sent him my name, then he sent me a message to let me know that Belle had passed away. Its to bad that Belle and I were so far away from each. Gary passed away on Monday Dec11th Monday Dec 11th,2017 from stage 4 pancreatic cancer to his liver he was 54yrs old. I lost a brother in law Michael passed away July 9th,2019 very suddenly 66 yrs old and my special little sister Jamie passed away Friday August 9th Friday August 9th,2019 at 58 years old she commited suidice. May Belle rest in peace now with her husband Joe. Angels will watch over them. R.I.P. Belle.

To all Belle's Family and friends, I can never think of Belle without it bringing a smile to my face...she had a wicked sense of humour! We as young women in Cape Breton saw Belle as such a strong and independent woman who lived her life on her terms...and at that time it was certainly not the norm :0)) Please know that I am thinking of you all. To all of Belle's sisters and extended family I send my sympathy and prayers. I have so many fond memories of Belle singing those old Irish ballads and even an Elvis song or two ! She had a quick laugh and was always a great hostess ,,,and a pretty good trout fisherman . She suffered a lot these last years and I know she is now enjoying her heavenly rest. God bless you all ! I have many wonderful memories of Joe and Belle when they stayed at their cottage in Brook Village and the times they would visit John A and Mary for a good game of auction.I will remember Belle for clannishness, her sense of humour and that “twinkle” in her eye when she had a good laugh. Aunt Isabelle was good to offer her assistance to her siblings in Toronto and Cape Breton. When I was a kid growing up in Toronto she helped my parents on many an occasion. She was blessed to have Joe Meagher as her husband for 34 years and now she will be with Joe again in heaven. May she rest in peace.

I even got to go and see Belle back in summer of 2009 with my late finance partner Gary passed away on Monday who Belle had met for the first time and I met her sisters at the time also.
