Obituary of Shayne Alden LeRoux, Glace Bay

It is with heavy hearts, that we the family of Shayne Alden LeRoux, age 49 of Glace Bay are saddened to announce his passing on Monday, February 8th, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Reginald and Cleophas (Young) LeRoux. Shayne was a graduate of Glace Bay High, Class of 1992. He was a carpenter by trade and really enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting in Loch Lomond. Shayne was a quiet man by nature. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Cindy (Daniel), Joseph (Melissa), Aaron (Juanita) and Dwayne, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Shayne was predeceased by his oldest brother, Reggie. In honoring Shayne’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay.
