Today I say goodbye to my Uncle Junior… from a distance due to Covid… making the farewell that much more bittersweet. It’s funny the memories that come back to you at times like this. I remember silly things as a little girl, like catching he and Aunt Mary kissing in the front porch; he and his boys in the garage emptying or filling the truck for another day of hard work; relaxing in Inverness gutting Blair’s freshly caught trout; or covering the picnic table with newspapers for an ‘in season’ lobster feast. These memories brought me to more current thoughts of my Uncle, realizing that my moments with him were much more of ‘quality’ rather than quantity. I specifically recall an evening I had with him on St. Joseph Street in my late 20’s. How I ever had him alone is a question I cannot answer. But he sat at the head of the kitchen table with his scotch, staring at me with familiar curiosity full of smiles and laughter. It was a wonderful visit and one that, obviously, I will never forget. These little gifts have brought me much comfort today, and I hope that the wonderful memories he has instilled in others will do the same for them. Much love Uncle Junior and rest in peace. xo

Vic was one of the hardest working most inspirational people I had the privilege of meeting during my younger, and formative, days. Vic lead by example, and the bar was set high. His dedication to family, his profession, and to the community at large serves as a template to those seeking a fulfilling life. Vic worked hard, smart and with conscience. He also took the time to enjoy simpler things in life and was not above sharing with others while doing so... I offer my sympathy & condolences to Victor’s family & friends. A very exceptional man, a friend & colleague at CBU (NSEIT). When we taught the NSEIT, Vic, Gerry Marsh & I drove together; Gerry usually drove. We had many interesting discussions, many laughs; Vic & I were wide awake when we arrived, after an exciting ride with Gerry. Over the years, through the school years & beyond, I shared many happy moments with ‘Junior’. I’ll miss & remember him fondly.
