The last time I was in Nova Scotia, was back in 2001. My loving Mother & I wanted to visit a lot of our relatives and we so happened to drop by unannounced, to see Jimmy & Pearl. We had such a wonderful visit with the both of them! When my Dad(Duncan) went into the nursing home back in 2006, I would bring my cell phone with me to the nursing home for Jimmy/Pearl to say hello to him. They loved to hear his voice and to hear my Dad sing songs from a long time ago. Jimmy/Pearl loved receiving photos & letters in the mail from me and they would always say..." Your Dad look's amazing for his age"!! When I heard the news last year about Uncle Jimmy's death, I was so heart-broken. Now to hear this sad news about Aunt Pearl, I'm heart-broken again. Aunt Pearl was such a very sweet lady and loved her cats! I will also never forget her amazing baked goods, so delicious! Aunt Pearl was so thoughtful when sending cards in the mail, and I still have my card from Christmas last year. To all the Gillis boys and to Sharon, my heart cries for all of you!! Please always cherish the wonderful memories that your parents gave you and keep them close to your heart! My deepest condolences & prayers goes out to all of you!! Your loving parents are together once again. I will miss your Mom & Dad so very much! May your loving parents watch over all of you 24 hours a day!! Stay strong and may their spirit live on in your hearts. R.I.P Aunt Pearl...your tiger will be waiting for you at the Pearly Gates. Love you all so very much...Love always...The Gillis Family in Toronto (My 3 brothers-Al,Don,Steve,myself(Anne) and my Dad(Your Uncle Duncan) xoxoxoxoxo

My heart aches! This woman was such a wonderful human being. She and Uncle Jim were a hoot, always his straight woman! I just loved sitting in the kitchen drinking...whatever, lol. I will miss her till my end and beyond. From the moment she was born and opened her eyes with care and compassion already instilled she was assured a seat in heaven. Please my dear cousins accept our sincere condolences on a much loved wonderful woman and, mom, aunt, sister and friend to all. Not sure if you know but your mom and dad stood for our mom and dad at their wedding. Now they are all together and everyone up there are laughing there...you know what’s off.
Tremendous love, hugs and my tears,
Lin & Wen
