Obituary of Allan Bennett, Glace Bay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Bennett, age 64 of Glace Bay on Monday, April 12th, 2021 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Ben and Jane (Penney) Bennett. Allan enjoyed helping out around the yard and in his younger years used to love bicycling. He is survived by brothers, Garfield, Leo, Mike (Marcella), Gerry and his sisters, Thelma King, Annie (Charles) Long and Gloria. A special thank you to Marcella for all her help at the hospital. Besides his parents, Allan was predeceased by his two brothers, Benny and Bill. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Glace Bay Hospital. A private visitation only will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Interment to take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
