Obituary of Paul Joseph MacNeil (Paulie), New Waterford

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Joseph MacNeil (Paulie), age 75, on April 13, 2021. He was predeceased by his mother, Rita (MacNeil) Aucoin; stepfather, Wilfred Aucoin and sister, Cathy, as well as many uncles, aunts and their families. Paul's Catholic faith was foremost in his life. When he could no longer get to mass, he would watch Mass for Shut-Ins, sometimes twice a day if he could. He loved hunting trips with his buddies, dinners with his friends, cousins and their families and spending time with his best friend, Dan (Butch) Gillis. He was the "go-to" person at the Seniors Complex on Mahon Street. If you needed something picked up, he'd cheerfully walk miles to get it. At Paul's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. Burial will be held in Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home and Cremation Center, New Waterford. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in his name would be appreciated.
