Dear McCormick Family: Your Mom was an exceptional human being. Her kindness to me as a child at Saint Anne’s Camp and as a staff member at Saint Anne’s Camp were unparalleled. Even when I made my first trip back to Saint Anne’s Parish after my Mom died. She knew my Mom had been buried from Saint Anne’s Parish Centre since the church had burned. She kindly took me on a tour of the new church because she innately knew how hard it is to lose your mother at such a young age. She told me exactly that.
I make reference to Rose and Roy McCormick and the quality they both added to our camp experience. The wonderful meals they made and the great sense of humour they both had. They were the heart and soul of the camp, Cubs, Boy Scouts and the parish as a whole.
Thank you for all your gifts that you shared with all of us over the years.

Knowing your Mom and Dad are re-united again should give you comfort.
It was hard to think of "one without the other"....
Always a smile and kind word and interest in others..
I remember all the 'camp' days and the laughs we all shared.
Forever in our hearts and prayers.
Keep strong 'family' and know you had the very best of parents.
Thinking of them brings a smile to my heart...thanks Roy and Rose.
Sincerely...Dolena(Ford)and Keith AuCoin

My sincere condolences to Rose's family. She was a great person. I met Rose through Scouting and been on many training courses with her and Roy. She is joining her beloved Roy and they will be together again. Also my father Bill worked with Roy at the bakery many years ago. As we say in Scouting she's "Gone Home".
A Scout's Prayer:
And when our span of life runs out,
We'll make this gentle plea
May we sit around His Campfire ,
At the Final Jamboree.

Words are hard to find to express the respect I had for both your mother and father, From a very early age Rose taught us all in cubs what it meant to be nice to each other. From Cubs to camp she was always there for us kids. I'm truly saddened by her passing. May her memory be a blessing for us all. Akela, we'll do our best, we'll DYYB DYYB, we'll DOB, DOB. Rest In Peace Rose.

Words can't express how much this woman meant to me over the past 51 years. Never judgemental, always forgiving, a true prayer warrior and always with solid advice in times of worry. She was an awesome grandmother to Mark and Alyson and I can't count how many pictures she took of them standing in front of her fridge- the reference for how fast they were growing. When Mark received his Chief Scout award in Halifax, their joy could not be measured. When it was time for "Trees for Canada" they would come to our home in Mira and close off the day there with the entire troup. I consider myself blessed to have been able to know and love them all these years. Mom has earned her rest and she is with her Lord and her family. Deepest condolences to her loved ones -she loved you all dearly- Love and prayers, Donna Lockman-MacKenzie
