To Sharon, Deborah, David and your families. Deepest sympathy on the death of Jimmy. Jimmy and Bubs were wonderful people and were outstanding in their welcome, care and hospitality when we lived in Glace Bay. We were privileged and fortunate to have their friendship. We kept in touch over the years and it was wonderful to maintain regular contact with Jimmy. May Jimmy and Bubs rest in peace, united in heaven. Charlie & Maureen Murphy & family, Roscrea, County Tipperary.

David, Debbie and Sharon ....Harvey (Shack) and I send our condolences to you and your families. The situation in over a year with this virus kept Shack from visiting your Dad, Shacks co-worker. Shack and your Dad worked together for years and many a stories were told. Great memories we have of your Dad. RIP Sgt. Jimmy Collins.

Deborah, Sharon, David and all your families. I was deeply saddened when I learned of your Dad’s death. Many times I have thought about him and remembered all the time I spent with him as a kid at the barn and around the horses. He played a significant role in my life and I learned many values, through his example, that stayed with me through my life.
I visited with him a few years ago when I was on a trip to Glace Bay and we had a great chat.
I’m very sorry for your loss and I hope the memories you have will bring a smile or a chuckle and give you peace.
God Bless,
David MacAdam (Nolan). Lower Sackville

On behalf of the Cape Breton Regional Police Service Retirement Association I would like to offer sincere condolences to Debbie, Sharon and David and their families. Jimmy was a member in good standing in our association. He was a regular attendee at our monthly meetings. He enjoyed being with the "boys" telling stories and reminiscing . He will surely be missed. Rest In Peace Sergeant Jim! Vice President Bob McLean

I have very fond memories of Jimmy and Bubs from my time as a child in Glacé Bay. I remember the barn but am sure it is much smaller in reality than it is in my mind. It was a pleasure to have known Jimmy. May he Rest in Peace.

So sad to hear of Jimmy’s passing. Knew him well back in the day when I was married to “Red”Dan MacIntosh. Their love of horses was a big thing they had in common as well as being police officers. My condolences to all who knew and loved Jimmy.
