Gen was truly a beautiful woman with a heart of gold . Remembering all the times spent together especially in Ingonish , playing cards , going to the beach and wonderful meals shared together. One bedroom in the old house in Ingonish is still referred to as “Gen’s Room” . She had a smile that instantly lit up a room . We are sure there is a game of auction going on in heaven . Dear O'Brien Family,
I was sad to read of Genevieve's death. I had spontaneous happy memories of her while I was a priest in the Gardiner '68-'70. The Obituary spoke well of her and her involvement in the parish. I especially remember the choir when under Anne O'Brien's leadership, we enjoyed so many good times together. Genevieve was part of those good times at St. James. She was a kind and gracious lady with whom it was so easy to work. We would meet occasionally like at St. Joseph's in Reserve. She never changed from being a great person.
My sympathies and condolences, care and concern, friendship and prayer go out to you all. May the Lord bless you with serenity, courage and wisdom.
