Such a loving obituary for a man who was incredibly kind and loving. I only knew Stan through my profession and he always had a smile even on his most frustrating days. He had a high regard for education for sure. My condolences to Andree and family. I'm so sorry for your loss. He certainly knew how to make a lasting impression. I'll treasure the smiles, jokes and the memories. (De Coloros!)

Very sincere condolences from the bottom of my heart you Valerie and family, his siblings and friends. Such a beautiful obituary that opened my mind to events in Stan’s life that many of which I heard before from him and very nice to hear again. I had such a nice phone call with Stan last Tuesday morning for about 20 minutes, from his hospital bed. He was upbeat, happy and laughing. I am lost for words........hard to believe. I made a special trip to visit with him at rehab in North Sydney in August 2019. My buddies Jerome and Blair were with me and we had alot of laughs during our visit. Phone calls with him have always been a highlight for me as we reminisced about our youth growing up in No. 11. Tuesday morning he sounded strong, laughing and explaining his plan to have a new house built and was so very thankful for Valerie and the hospital care givers. He was looking forward to his hip rehab and was positive about everything in his life. I never did hear him complain about his ailments throughout the years. My heart goes out to Valerie and all the family. He was our buddy like no other. I haven't mourned like this for several years and I am finding these days are sad but full of so many great memories. We loved talking about Jessie and Helen's corner store and I managed to find one photo that I sent to him. He he had no problem sharing his love with others. He ended his call Tuesday morning by saying....."Love ya" and I replied... "Love ya pal and I am so thankful that you called me". God bless you pal, you will never be far from my thoughts. Au revoir and until I see you again on the other side RIP. Always thinking about you and family Valerie and offering prayers for you during these sad and difficult days.
Good Bye My Old Friend
LOVE YA
BOBBY

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I will treasure them always. I am getting stronger and have started walking again. I am sleeping very well and the extreme exhaustion is getting less. I am keeping busy with the volume of paperwork that comes after a death. I even got to Halifax and Cheticamp with friends for two weekends. Talk soon. Love to you & Denise

Dear Valerie, Brennan, Lesley, Garret, and Andree, and families,
We were truly saddened to read this beautifully written obituary about your beloved Stan. He indeed was a fine man and it’s true he was a mentor to many young electricians starting out in the trades including Gary. He always had that big big smile when greeting you, no matter what his circumstances were at the time. We had the opportunity to visit him during his stay at the Rehabilitation Center, and it was so good to catch up with him and reminisce. We have good memories of Stan and Valerie, and a sincere appreciation for their contribution to ours and so many families through our employment with them. It was obvious that his family and friends were everything, and that he valued that above all else. We know he will be missed by all of you beyond words. Our sincerest condolences during your time of incredible loss. Gods speed Stan.
Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, Debbie and Gary Yurchesyn

Valerie and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Stan, to say he was a great man would be an understatement. I've had so many memories of him taking us fishing when we were kids, taking us out on the old truck plowing. Let us use the pool, and even when I came back home to visit, my daughter learned how to swim there.
I know you're enjoying that beer now with Warren, miss you both so much. Thank you for the good times we had.
Love to Valerie and family,
Jason, Jessica and Lilly
