Obituary of Therese Noelle MacAdam, Glace Bay

With unspeakable sadness we announce that Therese Noelle MacAdam ,49 of Glace Bay, NS passed away on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 following a brief illness. Therese was a loving, most amazing daughter who laughed readily and enjoyed the company of all especially her brothers, Iain and Michael. A dedicated swimmer, a student of the highland bagpipe, a lover of all felines and always a desire to travel and explore. She meditated often and prayed more. A true seeker of peace and harmony in the world. She was a life long learner with accomplishments that included a BACS degree, UCCB, Honors graduate of film and television production, Humber College, diploma in computer studies NSCC, BA major in English, CBU. She was a freelance writer by trade who especially enjoyed telling “good news” stories about Glace Bay people in her monthly newspaper column “Bay Buzz”. Therese was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Bernie and Margaret MacAdam and maternal grandparents, John “Piper” and Isabel MacMillan as well as uncle Joe MacMillan. She is survived by her parents, Raymond and MaryAnn (MacMillan) MacAdam, brothers, Iain (Lea Ellen) Oshawa, Ont. and Michael (Samantha), Toronto, Ont. and their children, nephew, Scott, nieces, Isabel, Maggie and Lily. She is also survived by aunts, Jean MacAdam and Jean MacMillan and west coast auntie, Maggie, uncles, Sandy, Rod (Cathy) and “special uncle,” Ronald (Rose)MacMillan along with a whole family of cousins. She was so loved and will be forever missed. In memory of Therese you can choose to plant a tree, take care of the environment, feed a feral cat and be kind to all. Special thank you to Drs. Lisa MacInnis, Neil MacVicar, Ryan Kelly, Chris Milburn, palliative care physician, Saneea Abboud and all of Therese’s nurses on 4B, CBRH. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass to celebrate Therese’s life will be held on Friday, July 9th, 2021 at 10 am in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Fr.
