To the Muise family.
Deepest condolences on the passing of Yogi. What a true gentleman. I was in his Geology class and although I wasn't a great student, I certainly enjoyed his class. I remember one of the students asked him a question and his response was, "I don't know but when I get to Heaven, it will be the first thing I ask God"......almost 50 years ago and I still remember that! He was certainly unforgettable. RIP in Yogi....you will be missed.

The best way to describe Mr. Muise, is "Caring"
As our teacher, he brought us down into Lingan Mine, to show us what we could spend our lives doing or what future wives would be facing each day, as their men went down That was a valuable gift.
He also took us to George's River, showing his love for what was possible, should we chose to embrace the true beauty of our island.
He threw an erase at me. But that's another story.
Rest in everlasting peace, Mr. Muise. You changed my life.

To the Muise Family:
I am sorry to hear of the passing of Yogi. I was one of his Geology students at BEC, and I enjoyed his teaching, his stories of working in the mines, and our tour underground of one of the mines (Lingan, I think); that tour gave me a great respect for the Miners and their work. I also enjoyed Yogi's stories of his trip to China with the Men of the Deeps and how the citizens were amazed with these big Canadian men.
I've seen Yogi perform many times with the Men of the Deeps on stage and on TV, and I always loved his singing. He is a memorable person, someone you never forget, and someone who always made you feel like you were seen and valued.
Please accept my condolences on your loss of such a great man who I'm sure was a wonderful husband and father.

Goodness. I heard on the news this eve about the passing of Yogi. I was taken aback. He's one of my favorite teachers. He made things enjoyable in geology and drivers ed. Yogi would jokingly bop random students off the top of the head as they entered the classroom. He always stood at his classroom door to greet each student. Which, by the way, was one of the many attributes that set Yogi apart from other teachers. The day came when I was to be on the receiving end of his endeared greeting... or so he thought. lol However, I was too quick for him... I ducked. lol Yogi did not anticipate my reaction at all. lol We laughed. I have many wonderful memories of this sweet man. My heart goes out to Michael and entire family. It's my hope that each of you can take comfort in knowing that Yogi continues to live on in the countless lives of those that have been blessed to have crossed his path. Loving thoughts and prayers to family. ♡
