Obituary of Neil Francis Morrison, Dominion

Neil Francis Morrison, age 86 passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late William & Effie (MacIsaac) Morrison.

Neil was employed by the Geddes Family in Toronto in the Furniture business. He really enjoyed working for them and they became close friends. He had a great sense of humour. Neil enjoyed attending church and had a great love for his family; especially his sister, Catherine.

Neil is survived by his daughter, Darlene Morrison, Sydney Mines, son, John Francis Morrison (Patricia “Pat”), Calgary, two sisters, Catherine Nicholson, Dominion, Annie May Flemming, Toronto, three grandchildren, J.J., Mary Jolene & Brandy Morrison, the MacIsaac family, especially Karen (MacIsaac) Hawke, several nieces, nephews and special niece, Florence Nicholson.

Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his son, Joey, brothers, Angus, Leo, Billy, sister, Florence and his brother Kevin Hennessey.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Glace Bay followed by interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Fr. Dan Boudreau presiding.
