Obituary of Lambert Henry Frison, Reserve Mines

It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of my husband, our dad, Lambert Frison, age 78 on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, Lambert was the son of the late Lambert & Martha (Le Cointe)) Frison Sr. Prior to his retirement, Lambert worked as a carpenter at the Sydney Steel Plant. Lambert was a former Lieutenant of the Reserve Mines Volunteer Fire Department, serving 50 years as a proud and dedicated member. He was also a member of the Reserve Mines Pensioners Club. He enjoyed playing darts at the Pensioners Club and loved to play a game of cards with his buddies at the fire station. His afternoons were spent having coffee and conversations with his Tim Horton friends. Lambert is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Judy (Spencer), children, Michele (Bob), Karen (Johnny), Melanie & Troy (June), grandchildren, Kyle (Natalie), Ashley (Jonathan), Mitchell (Brynn), great grandchildren, Brayden, Abbie, Carter & Emme. Besides his parents, Lambert was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Frison (Joan). Visitation will be held in VJ McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay on Thursday evening, October 21st from 7 pm to 9 pm. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Alison Etter is Friday at 2 pm in Warden United Church, Glace Bay followed by interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will be held at the Pensioners Club in Reserve Mines. Lambert will be taken to the church at noontime on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association.
