Obituary of BRIAN Sinclair, New Waterford
It is with profound sadness and tremendous regret that we, the family, announce the sudden and untimely death of Brian Joseph Sinclair, age 60, on November 5, 2021.
Brian was born July 26, 1961, in New Waterford. Brian is predeceased by his father, Raymond ‘Mouse’ Sinclair; granddaughter, Brittany Green; nephew, Josh Sinclair, and many aunts and uncles.
Brian leaves behind his mother, Mary ‘Josephine’ Sinclair; brothers, Yogi (Sherry) Sinclair (Yogi and Brian weren’t only brothers, but they were the best of friends), Gordie (Lori) Sinclair, and Urban ‘Ubie’ Baldwin; sisters, Geneva Passmore and Leanne (Robbie) Campbell; his three children, RJ (Robynn) Sinclair, Jennifer (Curt) MacLellan, and Lacey Sinclair; he was thrilled to have the title “dad.”
He leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews, and his special niece, Emily, who held a precious place in his heart; his grandchildren, Brittany, Mikaila (Brandon), Kaden, London, Melody, Harmony, Aria, Treble, Averi and Havyn.
Poppy never missed a birthday and he always looked forward to the annual ‘Early Christmas’ with all of his kids and grandchildren. Christmas time will never be the same.
Brian was a hard, dedicated worker who was passionate about cars, country music, his Tim’s coffee, and hockey. He was a diehard Leafs fan and always hoped to see them win the Stanley Cup. Every season he would say “this is our year!”
He spent the last 18 years working at Island Tire, alongside his best friends who considered each other family. Brian also spent a lot of his time at The French Club in Sydney, where he enjoyed playing darts and seeing familiar faces.
Brian lived his life the way he wanted to, and oftentimes that was with a cold beer, or shot of rum with a ‘splash’ of pop in his hand. Self proclaimed “Drinclair,” he was always the life of the party.
We, the family, want to thank Frank, Alley, and the rest of the ‘boys’ at Island Tire, for being a second family to not only Brian, but also to his children. Driving passed there will never be the same. We want to thank his friend, Kyle, for helping him over the years when he needed it the most. Your kindness to our dad did not go unnoticed. To Norman and the rest of the French Club family, thank you for being a special part of his life. And to everyone else whose heart our dad has touched, we thank you for showing us how many people loved him.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford.
