Obituary of Bronny Emil Lasovski, New Waterford

Bronny Lasovski, 58, of New Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Bronny and Cecelia (Smolensky) Lasovski. He was employed as a Power Engineer by Nova Scotia Power, at the Lingan Generating Station for many years. Bronny was an avid shooter and was a member of the Metro Rifle and Pistol Club, Leitches Creek. He enjoyed doing odd jobs with his great-nephew and best friend, Johnathan and loved animals, spending a great deal of time with his four-legged buddy, Jersey. Bronny is survived by his sister, Dolena Doyle, New Waterford; brother, Gary, Lindsey, ON; nieces, Karen (Johnny), New Waterford, Alicia (Jackie) New Waterford; nephew, Aaron, Lindsey, ON; great- nephew, Johnathan, New Waterford; special friend and companion, Bonita Mulley, Florence; also surviving are several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Besides his parents, Bronny was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Kevin Doyle and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford where a Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Father Peter McLeod officiating. Masks and prove of double vaccination will be required when entering the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations in Bronny`s memory may be made to the Cape Breton S.P.C.A., Parish of St Leonard, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
