Obituary of Mike MacNeil, Glace Bay

Michael Gerard MacNeil Glace Bay Michael Gerard MacNeil, 64, of Glace Bay, passed away at home on Friday, December 3, 2021. Born in Glace Bay, Mike was a son of the late Rodrick and Rita (McNeil) MacNeil. He was a bar tender and worked in most of the bars and taverns around the Glace Bay area. A simple living man, he spent a great deal of time volunteering at the Glace Bay Food Bank. Surviving are three brothers, John (Gina), Lewiston NY, Paul and Bernie, both of Glace Bay, sister-in-law, Tanya MacNeil. Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by his brothers, Jim, Roddie and Martin. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
