Obituary of Doris O'Donnell, Glace Bay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris O’Donnell on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at her residence in Glace Bay at the age of 38. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Beverly (Grant) O’Donnell and the late Thomas “Ouchie” O’Donnell. Doris is survived by her daughter, Emma and son, Brycen O’Donnell, sisters, Angela Dean and Julie O’Donnell of Glace Bay, brother, Tommy (Maggie) O’Donnell of New Minas, uncle, Kevin Grant of Dominion, great aunt, Marjorie McInnis, special friends, Adam Jollimore and Trina Nightengale, nieces, Elizabeth Dean, Marcella Ward and nephews, Logan and Blake Dean and Nathan Ward. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Doris will be missed and loved by all who knew her, she touched so many people’s lives. “Forever Loved.” A private service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding. Memorial donations in memory of Doris may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
