Betty (known as "Auntie" to me and my brother Drew) was my babysitter for several years. It's been more than 20 years but I still have such fond, vivid memories of summers in her backyard pool and the many fieldtrips she took us on, including the Scarborough Bluffs, Woody Woodchucks, bowling and the biggest parks around. She also made the best homemade French fries. She was very special to me, my brother, and many other kids she looked after. Sending love to her family. Love, Julia Johnson

Frances, Judy, Viola, Gene, Jen and Betty's family, please accept my heartfelt condolences at this sad time. I loved Betty. She was always funny and always thinking about others. Growing up on Brookland, we all knew Betty Acker and her sweet, thoughtful ways. She loved her brothers and sisters and would do whatever she could to help them. May she rest in peace
