Rest In Peace Uncle Jim. You were always a kind and sweet man, and such a gentleman. The world has lost a special man and heaven gained a beautiful angel. You were my god-father, my mom could not have picked anyone better. Sending love and hugs to all the loved ones you are leaving behind.

Words could never express how much he was loved and respected by our family . He spoiled everyone and had the ability to make everyone feel special I remember going to visit him in Florida and when we woke up in the morning he had a big breakfast spread for us bacon eggs home fries and I said Uncle Jim you didn’t need to go through all that trouble and he said I’m sorry Greggie he A special kind of man he liked to dote over everyone and he loved doing huge fish fry’s and it was the best and he would be happy to see everyone with a full belly and a smile on their face . He was definitely my favourite uncle and my closest he was someone I always looked up to and he show people how to love and respect each other by example . Uncle Jim you will live forever in my heart until we meet again God bless and I love you

My heart was broken today to hear such news of Jimmy’s passing.
Jim was a great man who deeply loved his family, his little dog Bella and placing a well sought out bet on the ponies.
I take comfort knowing that he is now with his precious Lila and sweet little Bella and is free from all the earthly shackles that must have weighed him down in these past few years.
God speed Poppa ♥️ Give Ma and Bella a hug and kiss from me.

Tears welled as i learned my favourite uncle Jimmy has gone home to be with our Lord. He was always so sweet. When I was little growing up in Glace Bay, he often visited & he always picked me up in his arms & gave me big hugs & thoughtful little gifts, candy or pocket change. He was incredibly kind. I loved my uncle Jimmy very much. He'll be fondly remembered & never forgotten. My heart goes out to all of his beloved children & grandchildren & all of his family. Sending my deep & heartfelt sympathy. May your own special memories serve to bring you comfort in the remembering. My prayers are with you at this sad time. Love from his niece, Marion (nee O'Brien)
