Maria, I know the very close bond you had with your dad and the difficult and sad time you are facing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and extend my sincere condolences to you and your family. I have a few good souvenirs of Joe and it was a pleasure to have known him. Dear Joe and family, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your wonderful dad. Joe I have very vivid and fond memories of meeting your dad for the first time - a bit scary actually. Joe seemed much larger than life, and coupled with your stories of him, I quite frankly found myself in awe, when we would meet. A huge smile came to my face when I read about Joe cooking and the mess that would inevitably prevail ...I certainly witnessed that, but also the great gourmet gifts that followed. My sincerest condolences to the family, I worked wit Joe at the Department of Housing 1975-77, he was a interesting man and very sweet. He used to have me type up his son's law assignments and pay me with a thick lobster sandwich. He was a sweetheart for sure. I left in 77 to work at the Regional office and saw him from time to time. I left Housing to raise my children but thought of him from time to time wondering how he was doing and assured he was charming any who met him. Bless him and his family. I didn't know Joe well but one thing I did know and was obvious to everyone was the love and pride in his family. RIP Joe

Joe was a very proud Man , I so enjoyed sitting at his bed side listing to many stories about his life . Greeting me with a smile on his face , he was a pleasure to be around .
