I drive for Canadian Tire and first met Jack at the store in Greenwood. After that I would run into him when they were renovating other stores. He was a good guy and we had many great conversations. I will miss him. Condolences to his family.

Dear Jen, Brian and family,
I was so sad to hear the news of Jack passing - shocked really. I know there is little words can do to relieve the immense grief that you must be feeling. Jack was such a kind and gentle person; like an old soul wise beyond his years despite his years being cut short.
I was reading Jack's obituary this evening when Helen played "dark island" so I could recognize Jack's favorite song. It was very moving - I could almost imagine Jack with Paddy and Sheila enjoying one more earthy song. I am sure Jack is in good company on the other side.
Please know my heart is with you all and I will will reach out after you have had a bit of time.

I was devastated and so sad to hear of Jack's passing. I love that "teddybear" is in his obituary because that is how I described him. He hailed from the best family out there so he was blessed for sure. I am not sure how you will cope and move on for the burden must feel insurmountable right now. My heart breaks for you all. I have had the pleasure to work with Ryan in many Canadian Tire projects throughout the years.
No matter how challenging the project would be, he always took the positive side of things and you knew that you could count on him to provide any support needed.
If I needed to reach out to someone and get answers on a project he was the one to be there and help you no matter what it took.
He always had that positive attitude, pleasant expression and contagious smile, I will miss him very dearly.

My Condolences to the Ryan Family: Jack was an amazing colleague but a great friend, Jack I'm going to miss those summer meeting as I was your chauffer and listening to Limp Bizkit on the 401 with the windows rolled down as we sang together people looked at us but we didn't care we lived the moment as we laughed :) together that's one of the best memories and will never be forgotten . My old buddy. I met you when I was 16. You've been a part of my life for a long time. You always stopped in for a visit every time you were on the Broughton Rd. You ,Mikey and that old yellow Camaro lol.
We had so many laughs together. You will be greatly missed. I will be traveling back to CB next week and I told you I was going to come see you. My beautiful and oh so supportive friend my heart breaks. To say iam lost for words would be so minor to say. Iam devastated. You often told me people come into our life for reasons we may not know at the time. I know now you came in to show me love, friendship and above all the support I needed to get me to where iam today. I got to see many new places of my beautiful province NL because of our many outings. Those memories are and will forever be snuggled within my heart. Heaven got a little sweeter and funnier iam sure now your there.
