Obituary of Beverly Ann LeMoine,New Waterford
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann (Demeter) LeMoine at Colchester East Hants Hospital in Truro, N.S. on July 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was best known for her love of "home" in New Waterford, Cape Breton - the place she always felt at peace; and, for her true, unwavering love for her two daughters, Tanya and Jennifer. She dedicated her life to her girls (they were the three amigos). She looked forward to every moment spent with them, every phone call or message, and always wanted as many photographs as possible. Her special grandson, Kai, was the light of her life. They were two ninjas, playing and laughing the days away.
At all times throughout her life, you could find Beverly with painted nails, perfect lipstick and a beautiful smile - she loved to be "done up," as they say. She had a fantastic sense of humor, loved a good joke and a funny video, and liked to pass time with an animal by her side. She often looked forward to a cup of tea and good conversation with friends, as she had many stories to tell and laughs to share. It has been remarked many times this year, that one could not find a stronger spirit than Beverly's. She braved cancer twice, and although she may have lost her battle, she fought until the end with a smile on her face and her two daughters by her side.
She was predeceased by her father, John Demeter and mother, Rose (Boucher) Demeter; her brothers, Jack Demeter and Charles Demeter (in infancy). She is survived by her daughters, Tanya LeMoine, Jennifer LeMoine (Jillian Roper-LeMoine); grandson, John-Kai Sill-LeMoine; her loving partner, Tom Greenwood; brothers, George Demeter (Betty-Anne), Joe Demeter (Debbie); sister-in-law, Adeline Demeter and many nieces and nephews; as well as her long-time best friend and father of her girls, John LeMoine and many other loved friends and family members.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Army, Navy, Airforce (upstairs), New Waterford. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
We would like to send a special thank you to her nurse Jessica at the Halifax Cancer Center and Dr. Rowe at Colchester East Hants Hospital for always taking such wonderful care of Beverly.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please do what Beverly loved most, spend time with your family and hug your loved ones close.
