To the MacDougall Family, I was so saddened to learn of Kevin's death. Kevin and I met while attending the Master of Social Work program at Dalhousie University. I so enjoyed Kevin's easy manner, quick wit and amazing sense of humour; I can still hear him laughing. I had great admiration for Kevin's' steady professionalism; his commitment to those he engaged with, his unshakable ethical position and compassion, his ability to suspend judgement of others and his innate sense of fairness and justice. Kevin applied these, and countless other personal and professional characteristics, to his work at the IWK Mental Health programs over the course of his many years of service. I frequently consulted with Kevin on complex practice issues and so appreciated his expertise and wise counsel. He was an amazing man, personally and professionally. I will long miss him.

I met Kevin at Dartmouth General Hospital where we both worked in health care social work. Not only did we have our work in common but we also shared love of standard poodles. His poodle Dougall is a cousin of my Sophia who recently died. He had asked if we could care Dougall because he knew that his sore knees were preventing him from getting out to walk Dougall. We said yes but he thought about it and he said he wasn't quite there yet. In respect of Kevin who was a caring sensitive lovely person whom I connected with at work, I am offering if Dougall needs a home that I can provide an excellent home for him. My sincere condolences to your family Kevin. God Bless you and may you rest in eternal light among angels
