Obituary of William Lankey Henry Dupe, Scotchtown

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our dearly loved father, grandfather and brother, William “Lankey” Dupe on Saturday, December 31^st, 2022 in the New Waterford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Hogan) Dupe.

Lankey grew up in Scotchtown and in his earlier years he loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family and friends dearly.

Dad is survived by his daughters, Carrie (Fred) Jamieson, Lisa Dupe; son, Billy (Carol Lee McKenzie); grandchildren, Katelynn, Adam, Ashley, Emma and Charles; four great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Chapman; brother, George.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Theresa (Peckham); sister, Mary (Crow) MacLean; sister-in-law, Caroline (Degiobbi) Dupe.

Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford with Deacon Lorne MacNeil presiding. A reception will follow at the KOC Hall, Plummer Avenue.
