I was so very sorry to hear about Agnes. She was the epitome of caring and kindness both as a nurse and as a person. She always knew her patients well, she was committed to meeting both their personal and medical needs. She was also their advocate.
Agnes’ struggle with her cancer was born with great courage and fortitude, she never complained about her lot. She was competent, warm, funny and always a pleasure to have around, I feel deeply privileged to have known her.

Agnes was a beautiful person. She always had a smile on her face and her laughter was contagious. I had the pleasure of knowing Agnes since childhood. We then reconnected at St. Martha’s School of Nursing where we had many fond memories. Over the years, Agnes was involved with the organizing of our many nursing reunions. We had so much fun planning those events. She will be truly missed. Rest in peace. My sincere condolences to her family whom loved her so much.

To Agnes’s Family and Friends,
I just read the sad news of Agnes s death and am filled with many good memories of my days at NWCH.
We had a special group to work with reaching out to each other and to our patients. Agnes was a unique part of this group she worked hard helping co-workers, patients and families. Her kindness and compassion knew no limits, it was a natural part of how she lived. The beautiful smile she shared was always welcomed by anyone who was lucky enough to know her.
My only regret is that I never had the chance to say thank you to her , to share another laugh, to work together again. Instead I give thanks to God and to Agnes for a life well lived.
My prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of someone you loved.

Agnes was a great friend for many years, many laughs and tasty snacks were shared when we worked together.When she first got sick I sent her a card with a message that there was a lot more to medicine than science.With her faith, the care of her family, and the hard work of her health care team she beat the odds and had 12 years which seemed unlikely at the outset. I was fortunate enough to be part of a group of 26 students and 3 teachers who became the Breton Travel and Cultural Club back in 1974... our Grade 11 year at BEC. For 2 years we raised money for a trip to Rome. We were lucky enough to have Agnes as part of our group. She was a hard working, dedicated teammate who always made us smile. So sorry to hear of her passing and my sympathy to her friends and family. RIP Agnes.
