We were so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. We did stop to visit him and Margie in July while we were in Cape Breton. Willie always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He was a lovely man who was always so welcoming to our family. Thoughts and prayers sent your way from our family. We will cherish our memories of Willie and his apple pies. God bless you all. Love Leslie and Dee Dee. A donation will be made in his memory to our Hampton Food Bank where we both volunteer.

We are sad to hear of the passing of our favourite uncle dear Willie. We extend our heart felt condolences to Margaret, and our cousins and their families who Willie was very proud of mmand loved each and everyone of them very much. Whenever I was with him I felt that he loved me the same way. He had the marvelous capacity to show his love for all members of his extended family. Oh, he would give you a kick in the pants if you needed it, just like his mother, but you knew it always came from his heart to smarten you up. Whenever I or any of my brothers and sister got back home we always had to go see Willie. He was always glad to see us, bring us in, put the kettle on and break out his special treats. He wanted to know all about us and ours and our lives and to share all the news about his family. We will miss these visits when we are home in the future. Personally, l will miss my favourite Uncle very much! God speed Willie Love Johnnie and Vicky Holland

Was very sad to read today of Willie's passing. After Da and your Mom passed (I believe just a few months apart), Ma and I would sometimes meet him at Mass at St. John's or St. Leo's when I would be home on the weekends. But that was a long time ago. To his wife and all his family and extended family, I extend my heartfelt condolences and be assured that you all will be remembered in my prayers. Hugs! Willie came into my life when I was 7 and has been part of my life for over 67 years. For me he was a father figure, brother, and a friend, but mostly as an example of integrity, commitment, and humility. I will remember him with love, and with gratitude for having known such a man. Leona and I have you in our prayers and are with you all in spirit.
