Obituary of Kevin Anderson, New Waterford

With heavy hearts ,we the family announce the passing of our dear father. Kevin passed away peacefully on May 6,2023 with his daughters by his side.

Kevin was born on Sept 12, 1957 to the late John and Christina(McNeil) Anderson.

He grew up in New Waterford with his siblings, John and Diane.

Kevin was a dedicated coal minor for many years and jack of all trades. He loved being outside in the fresh air and gardening. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Kevin always had a smile on his face; he left a mark on everyone's heart that met him and a smile on their face. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his three daughters, Tanya(Derek), Kentville, NS, Jennifer(Garrett), Slave Lake, AB, Melissa(Darren), New Waterford, NS;grandchildren, Brian,Luke,Haley, Brooklyn, Brady and Alex.

It gives us great comfort dad is now at peace.We want to sincerely thank all the staff at Harbourview Hospital (DVA), Sydney Mines, for the exceptional care they gave to our father and also being his friend.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
