Love ya dad! We didn't always see eye to eye growing up but as an adult I understand you were doing what was best for me trying to keep me out of trouble and for that I am forever grateful, I wouldn't have what I have without you. I also wish I had more time in NS so you could spend time with the kids and I, they loved the little time they did get. In the end I tried several times to tell you but would get too emotional trying although our conversations were great and I will miss ya buddy! Greg Burke

Very sincere condolences to family. I have wonderful memories of school days with Naish and we were overjoyed when he was the first to get his drivers licence. He drove us to St. Mike’s in style, his father’s 1959 white Chev Impala. My dad died in Nov 1986 and Naish drove him in the ambulance from home to the hospital. He later recounted to me his conversation with my dad and I have cherished that ever since. Sorry David and family for your loss. RIP my friend.

To the entire Burke Family,
This is Nancy and Wade Clarke (Matthew Clarke’s parents). We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest condolences on the passing of such a special man, Naish Burke. We were very fortunate to have been able to meet him and Olga back a number of years ago now, when they visited Newfoundland. We shared a meal together, along with Greg and Juanita and ended the evening with a fire in Greg and Juantia’s back garden. It meant so much to us where Matthew and Meghan have such a long standing relationship and are now engaged. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We hope you can find comfort in knowing so many people are thinking of you and send lots of loving kindness. Take care of yourselves. Nancy and Wade Clarke

To Olga and family - we wanted to take a moment to express our sincere condolences at the loss of Naish and assure you of our love and prayers during this difficult time. Our lives were certainly all richer knowing Naish. His kindness and love towards our family and others will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. We take comfort in knowing that Naish is now in a better place with no suffering or tears. He is with family and friends in heaven and I'm sure making many new friends along the way. Naish, don't forget to save me a spot in the boat and don't catch all the big ones.
Love, Dan and Wendy Lavigne + Family

Q: What will you never forget about Thomas Ignatius?
A: Naish and Olga were a big part of our lives growing up.
We would go the 3 hr drive lots of wkends and stay with these beautiful kind people. Olga was always busy cooking why Dad and Naish were deep in conversation with big laughs.
Naish was more like an uncle than married to a cousin.. he was always joking and giving us lots of change from his pockets to go to the little store, I believe that was at the end of Smith St. Naish will be missed by all who knew him.. he was such a loving ,kind, jolly man. Rest in peace!! Your were definitely a gem of a gentleman

I would dare say Naish was at every one of our hockey games growing up. He would always be quick to offer his feedback on the games we just played on the way out of the rink, good or bad. However, if I had a good game, I would be walking out proud as a peacock to get Naish's friendly nod and smirk in acknowledgment of a game well played! Naish was a great man and will miss him. My condolences to Olga, Chris and the family.

Olga and family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Naish. He was a true family man and gentleman. Whenever we met him, he showed his humorous side, although in later years we knew Naish was suffering. Pleasant memories of Naish will surely guide you through these difficult times. Naish suffers no more. He is at peace with God.
