So very sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. I have many fond memories of of times I spent with Joan when I was growing up. Joan was someone who left Big Prints In Your Heart. When I went home to Cape Breton I always asked how Joan was? As you share your memories of how she lived her life and how very much she meant. May all the love you shared surround you with comfort. I have childhood memories of Joan since the age of five. Joan was like the platform that set the golden rule of kindness caring just a legacy. She gave everyone that made contact with her a feeling of comfort and yes always a joke that would make anyone laugh. Her warm heart welcomed anyone she did so much for so many including me and my family over many years. Her ability to cook and bake was like no other, especially her gravy it was the best of the best. I will never forget Joan she may be gone but always a thought away. Fly high Joan the mold is now broke however you did leave a legacy. One very classy lady who wore her heart on her sleeve. RIP as you now are with many others that I know have open arms .
