Obituary of Bernard 'Glenn' Schaump, New Waterford

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Bernard 'Glenn' Schaump, 61, on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023 in New Waterford

Born Feb. 22, 1962 in Sydney, NS, he was a son of the late Michael and Gertrude (Drover) Schaump.

Glenn loved to play and watch hockey and baseball; his favourite teams being the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs. Glenn loved everyone and was loved by all. He was a man who was always willing to forgive and never held a grudge.

Surving are his brothers, Ernest (Vicky), Bill (Faith); sisters, Yvonne White, all of Ontario, Kim Schaump, New Waterford; missed by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Todd and brother-in-law, William 'Bill' White.

Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A Celebration of Life will be held at the South Bar Fire Hall on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Talbot House.
