Our condolences to your family.
Tom was a gentleman a friend and true union leader for our local. He loved his family and his job. He passed on his skills and knowledge not only to his boys but also to many apprentices along the way who he helped make leaders in his field today. We will always remember him in our hearts.

I’m saddened to hear of Tommy’s passing . He was one of the finest , a real gentleman. In our younger years,Tommy and I spent a lot of time playing baseball on various teams in New Waterford and Sydney. Tommy was one of the best left-handed pitchers in the Maritimes. I still remember all the fun we had at the Canadian Junior,Championships in Moncton. On the way home, Tommy’s car broke down and we ended up hitchhiking home. Great memories, he was fun to be with. Rest In Peace, Tommy.

Tommy’s grandmother,Phoebe(Shaw)Ross and mine,Helen(Shaw)Butts were sisters. They came from Margaree to New Waterford and raised their families only one street apart. The families were close and Tommy always stopped to chat and catch up on things when we met around town.I am sad to see our family circle grow even smaller and send sympathy to Jeanette and family.
