Im very sorry to hear of your loss Dave. I am so happy I got to meet you and your wife Pat. You have always been very welcoming to your home. Listening to you strum on your guitar and just having a good chat. You were a big man with the gentle heart of a giant! Watch over your family send them signs that you are around always. Rest in peace. Never forgotten.

Dad,
There won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t think about you, or hear your miss hearing voice. I am missing you everyday, but I know you’re not in pain anymore and I know that you’re watching over us all. I am going to miss your silly stories and all the memories you have had growing up here, but I will forever cherish those. You’re one in a million pops, and you’re by far my favourite!
Love you so much dad, fly high
Xoxo

Personally I did not have the pleasure of meeting David in person. I am married to his cousin Ron. However he and his lovely wife hosted my father and Step mother a few years ago on their trip across Canada. They helped set them up with a campsite and offered them a vehicle to go to town and get supplies. Dad (Libert) and Renate were so impressed with the welcome they received and speak fondly of this leg of their trip often. They send their condolences and thanks to all of David's family. As do Ron and I from our branch of the Roach Family.

Know you are reconnected with all the family who has gone before.
I don't recall a lot of my first visit to Cspe Bretton (I was 7), I remember David taking me out to the barn with me on his shoulders. In 2017, thanks to Isobel I had the good fortune to say hi to David and see River Ryan again.
I'm sending you all my love and hugs... I wish you many blessings. I have no doubt David, you will be missed. ❤️

Pat, Krystle, April and Stephen I am so very sorry for your loss. I know words cannot heal at this difficult time but please know I am sending you all of my love.
David was a remarkable person whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for many, many years. His love for his family was evident in all that he did. Anyone who knew David knew he loved Cape Breton and I am so happy that you all made it your home for the last 15 years. He embodied so much of his Ma and Da with his unwavering support and dedication to tourism on Cape Breton Island.
I’m sure Pat and Paul meet him with open arms as they were reunited in paradise. He’ll always be watching over you all ❤️
I’ll cherish my lifetime of memories at the campground! And with all of you! Love and Light xo

Teresa,my friend, Pat and all of David's family...so sorry for your loss. His time on earth really wasn't very long. In his time here though...he lived out a dream and spent his last days in the place he loved. During his many trips home from Ontario...I often was there with Teresa..listening to him talk about how he couldn't wait to get back here . He often could be seen standing at the firepit on the waters edge..his tall stature..gazing out at the sky...most likely planning and manifesting his retirement in Cape Breton. That's how I will remember him. Something we can all take stock of as we think of David. Life's short...live it...and chase your dreams. They will bring you back home. Love and light Tammy Tighe MacNeil
