It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, Daniel William "Billy" Gouthro, age 66 on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (MacNeil) Gouthro. He was a former member of St. Eugene's Parish of Dominion.

In his younger years Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing and fast cars, Billy also loved hockey and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Billy had coached minor league

Hockey in Glace Bay and Summerside P.E.I, where he coached his son which he took great pride in.

Bill spent many years in the construction industry paving. He prided himself on his ability to drive anything with wheels. Eventually opening a paving company alongside his father and siblings, an injury sustained during this time would force him into early retirement. He was a gentle soul who loved animals, and they him.

Billy will be dearly missed by his loving children, Billy, Trevor, and Kerry (Justin) Lawrence, his precious grandchildren Kelsey, Parker, Jacob, Caydance, Tank and Bear and the mother of his children Karen (Keith) White.

He is also survived by his siblings Joanne Gouthro, Doreen (Phillip) Evely, Cheryl (Richard) Hynes and Charles ‘Chucky’ Gouthro, sister-in-law Cherry Fraser, son-in-law Billy MacDonald, as well as countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
