Obituary of Ronald McCormick

MCCORMICK, Ronald "Ronnie" Louisbourg / Reserve Mines Ronald "Ronnie" McCormick, age 61 passed away at his residence in Louisbourg on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Donald and Helen (Rennie) McCormick. Ronnie was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Reserve Mines. He worked in Automotive Manufacturing at A.G. Simpson in Oshawa, Ont. Ronnie was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and loved his adoped home town of Louisbourg. Ronnie look forward to riding his Harley Davision in the annual ride for the cure, for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Foundation. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Susan Rae; daughter, Lee Ann (Dennis) Maronese, Calgary; son, Phillip, New Brunswick; sister, Gail McCormick, Louisbourg; brother, Donnie (Dorcas), Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Oliver and Cora who were the light of his life. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Ronnie’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
