Obituary of John Anthony (Tony) Favaro, Sydney

It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my husband and best friend, John Anthony “Tony” Favaro at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy. He will be dearly missed by his extended family, especially his cousins, Mary and Dianne even though he loved to torment them.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, John and Sadie Favaro and sister, Wendy.

I want to thank everyone at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the excellent care they gave Tony.

Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. There will be a graveside service later in the spring of 2024.

Memorial donation in memory of Tony may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
