Theresa was a special lady and very dear friend. I was a part of the “Dartmouth Girls” skating crew. We had many “Rummoli” evenings and side trips to Pictor, Lunenburg, etc., plus wonderful laugh-filled luncheons back in the day. She is missed, but never forgotten. To Teresa's family
I was introduced to Teresa by my sister in law Shelley. I will never forget her kindness when we landed on her doorstep in Dartmouth from Ontario when my mother was ill. Teresa opened her door and fridge so we had a place to stay and a warm meal before we made our way to Cape Breton. As we all know there is nothing like "down-home" hospitality.
When my sister in law turned "50" girls weekend was held in Ontario at her home. So the celebrations began!! Present and accounted for were the matriarchs Teresa and Rita, daughters, cousins, a westie named Lincoln, and me!! In the mist of the festivities Teresa held court as she pranced around in her silk pj's and robe to the aww's of the crowd. Part of the program for the night was a "life & times" slide show for the birthday girl. I was sitting next to Teresa and she said "there are so many pictures of me and Shelley to which I responded "yes there is" and without hesitation she said "me and Shelley are buds".
The next day everyone gathered on the lower deck after breakfast. Teresa was surrounded by her loving family sitting on the couch snuggled next to a wee westie. The vision was very reminiscent of the Queen and her corgi.
It was an honour Teresa to wait on you, laugh with you, and share stories. Girls weekend will remain a blessed memory for me.

Dear Anita. My memories of your mom when I was there waiting for you were of her sitting at the kitchen table doing crossword puzzles. If she was stuck on a word she would give me the clue and ask if I knew it. And if I did she would remark how intelligent I was. I always felt comfortable around her and welcomed into her home. Words can't express how sorry I was to hear of Theresa's passing. Her and mom were the best of friends for many years. I loved when they would get together...listening to the two of them exchange stories was so entertaining as your mom had the hardiest laugh. When she and your dad came to the house for card games, hilarity always ensued. I loved her so and will always treasure memories of her like watching her at the rink (she was so smooth on the blades). listening to family stories, enjoying the best homemade bread and just being in her presence. The obituary write-up was absolutely beautiful...she truly was the best and loved her family so much. May you find comfort in all the memories you have of your amazing mom, 'Terrible T'.
