I just learned this morning that your loved one was a second cousin two times removed from me through his mother, Agnes Irene Mac/McGillivray, 1893-1930. I wish I had known him. May he rest in God's eternal grace, mercy, and peace. I would love to know more about him and his family—Brian C. McNeil (brianmcneil@cox.net) (Arizona, USA).

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the MacNeil family as you as you celebrate the life of a fine man. We always had good visits with Greg on our trips to Cape Breton. In the early 80’s Greg spent several days with us. He was up early and had explored every corner of the farm before we were out of bed. He often reminisced about that trip. We will miss him.

There are no words to express Uncle Greg's "profound & personal" effect on my life & the lives of my family, My wife, Sisters, Children, Grandson, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, & Cape Breton Family & Friends...
All of us who have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating "Life with Uncle Greg".... For the past "50" plus years, we would gather.
"Back home" each & every year for a "special visit" because the world was a better place to live in, following "His Journey" .
He touched everyone he met in a very special way. Perhaps it was his proverbial smile, or wonderful stories, his inquisitive mind, or genuine compassion. He will forever be in our hearts & minds.
Goodbye Uncle Greg, you are loved and respected by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet you.
The Ratchford's

To the MacNeil Family,
My condolences on Greg's passing. I remember us going with my father (his cousin, Herb MacGillivary) to your place in Dominion, or him visiting dad in South Bar. Dominion seemed to be a far away and exotic place when we were little.
Sincerely,
Irene (MacGillivary) Hart (named after your father's mom)
