Mary Agnes McNeil, age 90, passed away on Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at  Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lawrence “Larry” and Beatrice (Sullivan) McNeil.

Mary was employed at the Glace Bay Hotel in her early years. She belonged to a local quilting club and will be remembered as a very easy going and pleasant lady.

She is survived by her son, Tom McNeil, Glace Bay.

Mary was predeceased by brothers, Lonnie and Francis and a sister, Maureen McNeil.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay where private prayers will be held followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Glace Bay. Fr. Macleen Anyanwu presiding.

Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
