Obituary of Glen Joseph Sheppard; New Waterford, Halifax

It is with heavy hearts, that we the family of Glen Joseph Sheppard announce his sudden passing on May 15, 2024.

Born in New Waterford, NS on May 15, 1962 he was the son of Evelyn and Leona (Aucoin) Sheppard.

Glen spent his early days growing up in New Victoria moving to Ontario in his early 20's, eventually moving back east to Halifax where he and his family resided for the last 25 years. Glen was a drywaller by trade but was also a talented artist and musician.

Leaving to mourn are his two boys, Matthew (Sarah) and Steve (Taniesha); his pride and joy, grandson Noah; mother, Leona; brothers, Paul, Alan (Lynn), David (Laura); sisters, Linda (Dino) and Brenda (Dale); his longtime companion and best friend, Lynn Shephard.

Glen was predeceased by his father, Evelyn and his daughter, Katherine.

In keeping with Glen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service to celebrate Glen's life will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford on Wednesday, August 28 at 11 a.m. with Father Godwin Obike officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
