Obituary of Beverly Ann MacSween, River Ryan

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Beverly Ann MacSween on May 19, 2024. Beverly is the daughter of Michael and Patricia MacSween (Lee) and mother of her pride and joy, Vincent. She was born on May 18, 1988. Beverly graduated from Breton Education Centre in 2006 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from St. F.X. University.

She found the most joy in raising her son Vincent, spending much enjoyable time with him. The two were inseparable and that bond will always be there. Beverly will live on in Vincent and will be a source of strength for all of us.

Beverly was very proud of her nursing career which took her from nursing in Cape Breton to the ICU Units in Red Deer and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. We are extremely proud of all the great nursing compliments we have received about Bev from the many friends and colleagues who worked with and knew her. The common theme of those comments are how much they loved working with and knowing Beverly; that she was bright, cheerful, caring and a beautiful human being.

Beverly was predeceased by her niece, Olive May Ferguson and her cousins, Sharon Anne MacSween and Danny Morrison. Beverly is survived by her son, Vincent MacSween; parents, Michael and Patricia MacSween; sister and best friend, Colleen MacSween (Brandon Ferguson); grandparents, Joseph and Teresa Lee (MacPhee); partner, Jody Rammel; father of Vincent, Brandon Pastuck and many cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21 at 11 a.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford with Father Jim Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca.

We love you. You will live in our hearts forever.
